Freelance translator with over 25 years of experience specialising in corporate communications texts. I translate into English, from French and Spanish.

I have been a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists since 2008.
I am based in London, where I have lived most of my life.

Freelance experience
I have been freelancing continuously since 2006, mainly translating texts on the organisation, activity and financial position of listed companies.

In-house experience
From November 1996 to June 2004 I was a staff translator at the Financial Times in London, translating articles from the Spanish and French financial press, Expansión and Les Echos being the main titles. The work also involved selecting articles for translation, and editing the work of other translators.

- 2000: “Law” option of the DPSI (IOL), Spanish and English

- 1999: “Local Government” option of the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) from the IOL, Spanish and English

- 1995: Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists (IOL)*, Spanish into English

- 1990-1994: BA (Hons) Spanish with French, University College London.

*The former IOL was granted its Royal Charter in 2005 and changed its name to CIOL.
